ADULT SUPERVISION

Bill, a middle-aged father struggling to connect with his teenage daughter, volunteers to chaperone her school trip to the remote Klippvik archipelago, hoping a few days together might bridge the growing distance between them. Joined by fellow parents Pontus and Bobo, the three adults quickly become overwhelmed by the brutal social dynamics simmering through this group of children.

ADULT SUPERVISION exposes the toxic "mean girls" culture that continues to thrive in schools, amplified by the relentless pressures of social media. While Pontus and Bobo dismiss the teenagers' behavior with jokes and misplaced observations, Bill is forced to relive painful memories of his own adolescence as the bullying escalates. What begins as an awkward school excursion gradually transforms into every parent's worst nightmare—a cautionary tale about unchecked cruelty, misguided authority, and adults whose good intentions prove tragically inadequate. In other words, it will have everyone questioning how anyone still has children or, if it's too late, whether they have a monster in the making back home.

Balancing razor-sharp dark comedy with slow-burning psychological dread, the film builds its tension through mounting unease, escalating violence, and the unsettling realization of just how cruel ordinary people can become. The beautiful Swedish landscape provides a striking contrast to the increasingly disturbing events unfolding against its idyllic backdrop, showing that even those who appear trustworthy can reveal darker sides.
