The French countryside is stalked by Ogroff, a deranged cannibal armed with a menagerie of knives, axes, and chainsaws. No one who enters Ogroff's haunted forest is safe from the killer's bloodthirsty wrath—not lumberjacks, automobiles, or children. One day, a woman (who may also be a serial killer) becomes obsessed with tracking down Ogroff. Will her infatuation lead to love or something far more sinister?

Nothing else on earth resembles OGROFF. Shot on Super 8 film for $18,000 in France's Orléans Forest by video shop owner/horror zine publisher Norbert Moutier (aka N.G. Mount), this is the zenith of accidental avant-garde horror. Moutier applies his influences (Fulci's CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD, Hooper's THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE, Rollin's THE GRAPES OF DEATH) to a chaotic, droned-out slasher aesthetic that showcases experimental synthesizers, crazed gore, and surreal deviations from reality. Dizzying, fascinating, and charmingly nihilistic, OGROFF stands at the precipice of inspired art and lowbrow trash. But it transcends both as a singular mutation that you'll never forget.
